Welcome 3 on 3 Basketball Fans!

On August 1st, 2026, Forreston Sauerkraut Days proudly hosted the 11th Annual Drew Crase Memorial 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament. Due to inclement weather, play was held indoors at the Forreston Junior High Gymnasium. A packed house created an exciting atmosphere throughout the day. For the 5th consecutive year, the tournament welcomed more than 45 teams with divisions ranging from 5th/6th grade to 35+ age groups. Teams competed in a full day of exciting and competitive basketball while continuing to honor the memory and spirit of Drew. We look forward to continuing this special tradition next summer with the 12th Annual Drew Crase Memorial 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament and 3 Point Contest.

In 2027, Forreston will proudly host its 12th consecutive 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament and 3 Point Contest as part of Forreston Sauerkraut Days. This premier event will welcome participants from 5th grade through 35+ years, featuring both men’s and women’s age brackets as well as the Mimmo's 3-point shooting contest. The tournament is open to all skill levels and is held in honor of our beloved family member, friend, and teammate, Drew Crase. A passionate basketball enthusiast, Drew enjoyed playing in 3-on-3 tournaments every summer. While the competition will be spirited, the event is designed to be enjoyable for everyone, reflecting Drew’s love for the game.

Brackets will be finalized Thursday evening before the tournament and can be found on the schedule page. Each division bracket will be setup for a double elimination tournament unless pool play is necessary. All players registered on a team for the day will receive a t-shirt and basketball. The champions of each age bracket will receive a trophy and hat with second and third place finishers receiving medals.

Concession stands will be open throughout the whole day with drinks and food brought to you by the Forreston Sports Boosters. Our vision is to bring players and fans in the community and surrounding areas together to witness a fun filled day of basketball in memory of Drew.
