Welcome 3 on 3 Basketball Fans!

On August 3, 2024, the Forreston Sauerkraut Days proudly hosted its 9th Annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. The event, held on the scenic outdoor courts of Forreston, attracted a diverse range of talented teams, from youthful players to seasoned veterans. With 47 teams competing across age brackets from 5th grade to 35+, the tournament was a showcase of skill and sportsmanship. It was a memorable day of competitive basketball, honoring the spirit of Drew. We look forward to continuing this tradition with the 10th Annual Drew Crase Memorial 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament and 3-Point Contest on August 2nd, 2025.

In 2025, Forreston will proudly host its 10th consecutive 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament as part of the Forreston Sauerkraut Days. This premier event will welcome participants from 5th grade through 35+ years, featuring both men’s and women’s age brackets as well as Mimmo's 3-point shooting contest. The tournament is open to all skill levels and is held in honor of our beloved family member, friend, and teammate, Drew Crase. A passionate basketball enthusiast, Drew enjoyed playing in 3-on-3 tournaments every summer. While the competition will be spirited, the event is designed to be enjoyable for everyone, reflecting Drew’s love for the game.

Brackets will be finalized the week of the tournament, and team captains will be contacted with the start time of their first game. Each division bracket will be setup for a double elimination tournament unless pool play is necessary. All players registered on a team for the day will receive a t-shirt and basketball. The champions of each age bracket will receive a trophy and hat with second and third place finishers receiving medals.

Concession stands will be open throughout the whole day with drinks and food brought to you by the Forreston Sports Boosters. Our vision is to bring players and fans in the community and surrounding areas together to witness a fun filled day of basketball in memory of Drew.
